Chamberlain’s Universal Garage Door Opener Remote Control is designed to work with all major garage door opener brands and can be programmed to operate up to two different branded garage door openers from the same remote. Open the gate and locate the Program/LEARN button on your gate opener. 2 (In vehicle): Press and hold the outer buttons on your ARQ™ Remote Control until the green LED stays solid (3-5 seconds). The good news is programming the remote can take less than a minute! Here are some instructions that will help you program most garage door openers. If you have an ATA garage door opener, refer to the remote’s unique instruction manual.
It’s a good idea to read through all steps before commencing and ensure you’re familiar with the control buttons. Once you’ve started programming, it’s important to continue to the next step reasonably quickly
Instructions
1. Locate the learn button on your garage door opener. It could also be labelled CODE, CODE SET, DOOR CODE, RADIO SET, ‘S’, or something similar.
2. Ensure your garage door is closed and free of obstructions.
3. Press and hold the bottom button on the remote control until the blue LED light stays on solid (this will take approximately 15 seconds), then release the button (the blue LED light will stay on for 60 seconds).
4. Press the learn button on your garage door opener for 2-3 seconds, then release it.
5. Immediately press and release the button on the remote control you would like to program.

6. The blue LED light will commence blinking for 12 seconds. Once the blue LED light changes to a solid slight, immediately press and release the button on the remote control that you are programming.
7. The blue LED light on the remote control will begin to flash once every three seconds. Wait until the door begins moving again and immediately (within three seconds) press the remote button again (depending on the opener brand, this could take a little while).
8. The process is complete and the remote should now be programmed to the garage door opener. You can repeat this process using the other button on the remote to program another garage door opener, if required.
9. Test the remote control by pressing the button you programmed to control the garage door. If the garage door opener doesn’t activate, repeat the programming steps, view the programming videos or contact

Tips if you’re programming two doors
If you’re programming two doors in the same location, we recommend setting up the top button on the remote first. This will also help to ensure you avoid accidentally opening a pre-programmed door.
The bottom button on the remote is the programming button and is the only button that can commence the programming sequence – irrespective of which button you choose to control the door. This button requires a firm press, eliminating accidental activation due to mishandling the remote.

· An internet-enabled tablet or smartphone.
· A 2.4GHz Wifi network in your home.
· A stable Wifi signal in your garage.
· The name of your network and its password.

Firstly, we will discuss how to complete the Chamberlain wifi setup on iOS devices. The steps for this are:
1. Make an account with myQ, or use an existing one.
2. Press the + symbol in the top right of the screen.
3. Tap on the garage door opener.
4. Read all the information presented on the screen and press Next.
5. Choose the Wall Control that matches the one in your garage. You'll then want to move to the device and either use the menu to find the wifi feature or use the Learn button.
6. Press Next again, back on your phone.
7. Listen for a beep and then press Yes.
8. Go to the Wifi settings on your phone.
9. Tap the myQ network label.
10. Press Next in the app.
11. Find your network.
12. Enter the password for your network.
13. Name the door opener.
14. Press Finish.
15. Tap the door opener to open your garage door.

Next, we will talk about Android devices. Here are the steps for those:
1. Make a myQ account, or log in to one that you’ve already made.
2. Turn on the Location feature on your device when prompted.
3. Tap the appropriate button on the setup myQ device screen.
4. Read the details that appear on the screen and press Next – make sure you tick all the checkboxes.
5. Tap on the picture of the Wall Control that resembles yours, and then follow the appropriate instructions for your model – this will mean either using a menu to select the setup feature or pressing the Learn button.
6. Press the myQ network label on your device.
7. Choose your network from the list.
8. Enter the password for it, and press Next. A message should appear to state that connection is in progress.
9. Name the garage door opener.
10. Tap Finish.
11. Press the door icon on your smartphone to open the garage door.
That’s every step you need to follow for Android devices.
